Stop reading reviews and just buy the shoes. I'm really not a fan of "barefoot" shoes; I'm just in it for the wide toe box. However, these are really comfortable to wear all day—easily my favorite pair of shoes.
I wear a size 14 in other shoes, and the size 14 fits perfectly. The toe box has the perfect amount of width and does not feel as though they need a break-in period.
I was concerned I would not like the suede look of the shoe (I've never owned suede), but they look very good. The lacing system is very unique and surprisingly one of my favorite features.

When I first saw these boots, I can honestly say I wasn’t a fan. However, I own 7 pairs of the sneakers and love them. I wanted a boot, so I bought two pair because I needed choices when dressing. I LOVE these boots! The only problem is they don’t have the chocolate brown in size 11.5. Darn! I should have bought all three when they were on sale around Christmas time! Hopefully they get more in stock and have another 20% off sale!

I hate how traditional boots jam your toes into a tight corner. I like being able to spread my toes and feel the ground. These shoes are perfect for anyone who cares about their foot health and wants to look good while doing so!
It is tighter fitting, I wear a size 11 in Bramford (2 pair) and Brenston (1 pair). These are just slightly shorter, or my toes run into the end of the shoe. I'm hoping they will stretch out over time.

These hug my feet, they're a pleasure to wear. I wasn't 100% in love with the look at first try but that's the norm for wide toed health shoes, at least until our shared perception of beauty has shifted away from pointy toed shoes looking so fashionable. However, they looked good enough to wear around town and now they look better after breaking in and reshaping a little. They're growing on me. I think Birchbury hits the sweet spot between form and function. I appreciate some of the benefits of the minimalist shoe philosophy, these deliver "ground-feel" and toe splay, but don't seem like a membership card to a new cult, while still being protective shoes, kind of a Goldilocks brand.
This is one of the best boots I’ve worn. Very comfortable. Plus, the lacing system is very clever.
These rock. They’re nice and wide . I have boney heels so they rub a little on the back but mostly notice while I’m driving . I’m sure they will give a little overtime in that area.
They look great , either as a dressier boot and as casual footwear.
I prefer regular laces so it was cool that they came with some .
I wish they came in like a grey/brown or olive color .

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The material and fit are impeccable. They look amazing with most apparels. This is the only shoe that I pre-ordered and have absolutely no regrets. I highly recommend.
Fourth pair of Birchbury shoes. The delivery on this pair was off, but the shoes are great. Wish you had more styles.
Though there were shipping delays, the customer support team was great, sent apologies and offered a small discount. The order came just in time for me be able to wear them at our wedding where they not only looked great but kept me pain free for a night of dancing!
The only minor issue I have with them is that the assistance loop at the back of the shoe isn’t attached very strongly. I broke one on the third or fourth time putting on the shoes and will have to get it to a cobbler to fix after the honeymoon.
